The things that one tames

This weekend I was at a retreat with other musicians from my church, the same kind as last year's but in a different, quite remote little place in the woods (no cell reception!). Part of Sunday's Advent service was the reading of an excerpt from The Little Prince, namely the conversation between the little prince and the fox. I've read the book many times, but I still find the scene very touching.

The fox here is a nod to Foxy, the main character of the many comic strips I  drew as a kid.

Wednesday Workpost: Staffellauf!

In order to raise funds for social projects, my church participated in last week's Berliner Wasserbetriebe relay race in Tiergarten. I was asked to draw a few cartoons to use in the thank-you cards sent to donors. Even though it poured rain the day of the race, it was a success and much money was raised. Hooray!

One of the supported projects is a new church project in Friedrichshain (accordingly called Projekt:Kirche).

MOS #4

It's not a fluke, guys - I originally wrote this comic in French. The translation is here!

I still attend this church three years later. The fact they were playing The Whitest Boy Alive before the service did play into my decision.
Trois ans plus tard, je fréquente toujours cette église. Le fait qu'ils passent du Whitest Boy Alive a contribué à ma décision.

I'm back from France! It was loads of fun and way too short.
I'd like to thank everyone again who donated to the fundraiser; the postcards should arrive within the week. The PDF of the travel comic will be sent out by the beginning of March. Merci encore!!
Thanks again!!

Merry Christmas - joyeux Noël - fröhliche Weihnachten - God Jul!

German vocab time: 1) Musicians at 10:30 AM  - 3) Songwritingness - 4) Music presentation - 5) Coffee, cake and more
6) Running through the forest - 17) Lord's supper; "The blood of Christ, shed for you"

Concerning that jam session, here are some sketches I did. Also, someone recorded most of it and uploaded it to Soundcloud. Enjoy! See you next week.
